About

L Works is an interior architecture studio based in London.  It was set up in 2014 by Elisabeth Johnsson, and focuses on residential interiors with a fresh and modern approach to design.

"Our lifestyles and budgets have evolved, and so should the way we design our homes. Even in more traditional homes the use of the space has changed, and the idea is to design a space that suits your individual life style and budget, so the place you call home works for your specific needs, however large your budget is."

My name is Liz Johnsson.  I set up L Works in 2014 after working for a couple of large studios here in London for over 4 years.   My background is Swedish/American, but I have been calling London "home" since 2001. I studied at Inchbald School of Design where I received a post graduate degree in Interior Architecture from University of Wales, and was awarded the Interior Architecture Award by Diana Yakeley FBIDA from Yakeley Associates. I was with David Collins Studio as an apprentice and then spent 4 years with Martin Brudnizki Design Studio - a leading UK Designer specialising in restaurants, high-end hotels and private residences. My projects included Soho Beach House Miami, Les Deux Salons, Jackson & Rye, and Jamie’s Italian Piccadilly Circus, amongst others.

My services range from concept creation, colours and mood boards, flow and layout, full detailed drawings with scope of work for the contractor, the interiors and lighting, to implementation management of the build, and dressing the home as the final touch.  You choose how much or little involvement is required.
